Founder and designer Lucy Hosken created Nearly Nude after an endless search for invisible yet supportive underwear. ‘Like so many women, I bought clothes that looked fabulous on models or in magazines but when wearing them I lacked support and comfort. I wanted to be able to wear delicate tops and low cut designs with confidence”. Spotting a gap in the market, Lucy started the Nearly Nude brand to serve the Australian market with a range of feminine, comfortable seamless shapewear that can be worn every day, not just for special occasions.
After working in Women’s magazines for over 10 years, Lucy had the marketing and advertising experience to further develop and grow the brand, so from these humble beginnings Nearly Nude is now stocked in over 320 stores world wide in countries such as Japan, USA, Canada, Singapore, Indonesia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Sweden and France.
Lucy’s vision to create a top quality, accessible yet affordable seamless underwear brand has been realized with Nearly Nude continuing to enjoy growing success in both the Australian and international markets.
