Founder and designer Lucy Hosken created Nearly Nude after an endless
search for invisible yet supportive underwear.
"Like many women, I bought clothes that looked fabulous on models,
celebrities or in magazines but when wearing them I lacked support and
comfort. I wanted to be able to keep up with the latest trends, wear
delicate tops and low cut designs with confidence," Hosken says.
Spotting a gap in the market, Hosken started the Nearly Nude brand in
2005 to serve the Australian market with a range of classic, feminine,
comfortable seamless shape wear that can be worn every day, by women
of all shapes and sizes.
After working in Women's magazines for over 10 years, with Australia's
fashion elite Hosken had the marketing and advertising experience to
further develop and grow the brand, along with the fashion knowledge
to develop a successful range unlike anything on the market. From
these humble beginnings Nearly Nude is now stocked in close to 400
stores worldwide in countries such as Japan, USA, United Kingdom
Canada, Singapore, Indonesia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Sweden and France.
Her vision to create a top quality, accessible yet affordable seamless
underwear brand has been realized with Nearly Nude continuing to enjoying
enormous success in both the Australian and international markets.
